  • I will prepare, design and create a ceremony that is “Uniquely-Yours” (we do not recycle ceremonies)

  • I will willingly provide you with resources and suggestions for readings, poetry and music.

  • I will willingly (if needed) help with writing your vows or assisting you in finding that perfect reading for a funeral.

  • I will facilitate and officiate your ceremony.

  • I will prepare a run sheet so that your occasion runs smoothly and on time.

  • I will ALWAYS arrive before the required time.

  • I will make sure everything (and everyone) is set up, well prepared and ready to go for your big day.

What does the celebrant fee cover in different ceremonies:

While I really don’t like talking about money when  are discussing love and celebrations. It is a necessary thing.

Funerals: 

I appreciate that fare-welling a loved one is a difficult enough time without discussing money. The celebrant fee can be paid through the Funeral Director if you let them know who will be officiating the service for you or directly to your chosen celebrant.  As part of our professional, personal morals and ethics I have chosen not to charge a celebrants fee if I officiate at the funeral for a child 5 years of age and under.

  • Family contact: Via Phone and in person (or Skype if outside of Rotorua),
  • Meeting allowance: 2-3 hours for personal, professional back ground, life history, familial history, other memorable life stories to be included in ceremonial writings.
  • Planning of rituals / tributes / readings / planning of order of service.
  • Resources.
  • Approximately 15-20 hours of ceremonial writing.
  • Family contact for discussion of ceremony and sign off, Printing of ceremony, readings, speeches).
  • Funeral day  - approximately 1.5-2 hours (set up and pack up of PA & celebrant equipment, officiating the ceremony.
  • Local travel - to and from venue.
  • Contact with guest speakers prior to and on day of ceremony  ( regarding speeches, readings etc).
  • Liaising with funeral director for final draft of order of service and last minute arrangements prior to and on the day of the service.

I am happy to travel anywhere throughout New Zealand to officiate at a funeral or memorial service but travel costs will need to be factored into this and paid separately. (please see below)


Weddings:

The celebrant wedding fee covers the following:

  • Initial contact by phone, text or email.
  • First face to face meeting introduction or brief Skype session (if outside Rotorua).
  • Second meeting - Meeting and discussing requirements for wedding More in-depth planning of expectations around day, planning of ceremony, discussions of vow choices.
  • Inclusions of resources, discussions of selected readings, guest speakers etc.
  • Approximately 15-20 hours - (ceremonial writing, and changes).
  • BDM and other Administration and legal requirements - (completing and filing of legal documents, emailing of ceremony for sign off, Printing of ceremony, readings, speeches).
  • Arranging and organization of rehearsal.
  • Wedding day - approximately 1.5-2 hours (set up and pack up of celebrant equipment, officiating the ceremony, legal documents).
  • Local travel to rehearsal and wedding venue.
  • Contact with guest speakers prior to and on day of wedding (regarding speeches, readings) etc.
  • Liaising with venue manager on the day prior to ceremony.


Other celebrations / ceremonies:

  • Family contact  phone and in person (or Skype if outside of Rotorua) for personal, professional back ground, life history, familial history, other memorable life stories to be included in ceremonial writings.
  • Planning of rituals/tributes/Guest Speakers and order of ceremony.
  • Resources.
  • Approximately 15-20 hours of ceremonial writing.
  • Family contact for discussion of ceremony and sign off, Printing of ceremony, readings, speeches).
  • Ceremony day  - approximately 1.5-2 hours (set up and pack up of PA & celebrant equipment, officiating the ceremony, legal paper work).
  • Local travel - to and from venue.
  • Contact with guest speakers prior to and on day of ceremony  (regarding speeches, readings etc).
  • Liaising with familial contact person last minute arrangements prior to and on the day of the celebration.


Confirmation of booking:
Please note: Your ceremony date will not be considered booked until the $150 non refundable deposit has been received along with the completed questionnaire (weddings), and the receipt has been sent. Please ensure that the complete celebrant fee is paid a minimum of 14 working days prior to the date of your ceremony/celebration. 

Travel costs:
Please note: Travel cost may be required dependent on distance to venue (if further than 20 km from Rotorua City).
If airfare and accommodation are required then this will be added to the celebrant fee. But PLEASE discuss this with me first .
